Mu Sigma Lambda ("we," "us," "our," or "MSL") is a co-ed professional fraternity focused on the sports industry, operating through a national office and collegiate chapters. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information through musigmalambda.org and the member, chapter, and administrative tools available on it (collectively, the "Site"), including account registration, chapter roster management, dues payment, and electronic document signing.

We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We may use privacy-conscious, aggregate website analytics (e.g., Vercel Analytics) to understand overall Site performance; this does not identify you individually.

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate chapter and national membership records and roster management
• Process dues payments and maintain payment history
• Facilitate electronic document signing and maintain the resulting signed records
• Send administrative and transactional communications (invitations, dues reminders, signature requests, status updates)
• Respond to inquiries and provide support to members and chapter leadership
• Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents
• Improve the Site and comply with legal obligations

5Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on the following service providers to operate the Site. Each processes information only as necessary to provide their service to us, under their own applicable privacy terms:

• Stripe: payment processing for dues
• Shopify & Shopify Payments: e-commerce platform and payment processing for merchandise purchases
• Printify: print-on-demand production and order fulfillment for merchandise
• Resend: transactional email delivery
• Supabase: database, authentication, and private file storage (including signed documents)
• Sentry: error monitoring, to help us identify and fix bugs
• Vercel: website hosting and aggregate performance analytics
• Upstash: rate-limiting infrastructure used to prevent abuse of the Site

6Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share it in the following circumstances:

• With the service providers listed above, as needed for them to perform their function
• With your chapter's leadership and the national office, as needed to administer membership, dues, and chapter operations
• If required by law or in response to a valid request by public authorities
• To protect and defend our rights, property, or safety, or that of our members
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of substantially all of our assets

7Electronic Signatures & Consent

When a document is sent to you for signature through the Site, typing your name and submitting the signature form constitutes your electronic signature. By doing so, you affirm your intent to sign the document electronically and consent to conducting that transaction by electronic means, pursuant to the U.S. Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN Act).

• A certificate showing your typed name, the document title, and the date/time signed is appended to a copy of the signed document
• Your IP address is logged separately, for internal audit purposes, but is not shown on the signed document itself
• Once submitted, a signature cannot be edited or withdrawn; the signed document is retained as a permanent record

8Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or as required by law or our own recordkeeping obligations:

• Profile and membership records are retained for the duration of membership and for a reasonable period afterward for alumni relations and historical chapter records
• Signed documents and dues payment records are retained as permanent organizational records
• You may request deletion of your account data, subject to the recordkeeping needs described above

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:

• Request deletion of your data (subject to our recordkeeping obligations, such as signed documents and payment records)
